Week 5 Spring 1
This week we have had our Victorian Day we had a workshop and learnt about what it was like to be a child in Victorian times. The children really enjoyed travelling back in time!
In Maths this week we have been using the scales to weigh different objects. We talked about which objects were lightest or heaviest and made estimates about how much they weighed.
Next week (Thursday 13th Feb) is our class assembly, please wear your Victorian clothes again as we will be talking about our topic from this half term The Victorians.
Week 4 Spring 1
This week we have been learning about Non-fiction text. We started the week by looking at the books in the book corner and deciding if they were fiction or non-fiction. We identified the features and made our own checklist. We wrote our own non-fiction text about our topic the Victorians.
Next week is Victorian day (Tuesday 4th Feb) please remember to come in your Victorian outfit. If you are not sure about what to wear please ask.
In maths this week we have been learning number bonds to 10 and 20. We have sung songs to help us remember and played lots of fun games. Please keep practising at home on Education City.
On Monday we made mini Victoria Sponge cakes because they were Queen Victoria's favourite cake.
I have saved some Maths related games on Education City, under the Homework section. Please have a go at these at home.
PE will be outside this term, weather permitting. Please make sure your child has plimsoles or trainers in their PE bag.
